Welcome to the website of
Lismore Choir

About Us
The Lismore choir is a friendly mixed choir of all ages about 35 strong existing for 40 years. We usually present two major concerts a year; our Christmas celebration at Lismore Castle every December and a Spring concert often in Lismore Cathedral, as well as performing at various community functions locally.
The choir also occasionally joins with other choirs for performance; and it has enjoyed entertaining choirs from abroad and then travelling to return the visit. The choir also participates in choral festivals.

We are recruiting new members
Our SATB choir with John Casey as our director, are actively recruiting for new members. We are a mixed aged friendly group who meet every Wednesday in St Patrick’s Hall in Tallow from 7.45pm to 10 pm (with a social tea/coffee break),

Tickets for Christmas concerts
Lismore Choir invites you to join us at our annual series of Christmas Concerts with mulled wine and mince pies, in the beautiful surroundings of Lismore Castle.
This year our soloist is the soprano Emma Nash. We are delighted that Emma is available to perform with us despite her busy schedule performing all over Europe.
The choir is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and has performed ‘Christmas at the Castle’ concerts each year, except during the lock down. So, put on your Christmas jumper and join us for one of the evenings, 9th – 11th December 2023, tickets €25 euro plus booking fee. Our concerts have marked the beginning of the festive period for many over the years.
